These Krobo beads are made from recycled glass, which reduces waste in landfills and oceans. Each bead is made with the utmost care and attention, and they are strung on cotton and finished with traditional African raffia.

The beads are made through a multi-step process which includes gathering recycled glass, crushing it down to a powder, and molding the glass into beads using a traditional kiln. Beads are then individually painted by the artisan. The base of these beads is made from recycled bottles and windows that have been crushed down to a very fine powder.

You receive a full 29 strand which consists of approximately 26" beads. Each bead measures approximately 26-31 x 10-11mm with a hole size of 3mm. Beads are typically strung on cotton, or raffia as shown in the photo.
